DIVERGE-STI1: Stage-Typed Semantic Interface

Status: closed negative after the one frozen development/confirmation pass. The confirmation board is now opened and immutable. No STI1 owner, data, renderer, threshold, seed, duration, or routing variant is authorized.

1. Capability hypothesis

RRG1 reaches 768/768 on natural QUERY across every mode and renderer, but systematically inverts one EVIDENCE surface. Protected NVE1 already owns the complete EVIDENCE transaction. STI1 tests the narrower architectural claim:

Semantic roles require stage-typed owners. A typed composition of the qualified NVE1 EVIDENCE owner and qualified RRG1 QUERY owner will provide a complete natural interface without universal parameter sharing.

This is structurally different from RRG1. There is no shared REFERENT owner, no additional training, and no RRG1 data/model variant.

2. Frozen composite

One immutable composite runtime loads the existing RRG1 checkpoint but routes owners as follows:

  • WORLD: protected TOL3 source owner;
  • EVIDENCE: the complete protected NVE1 numeric and symbol owner;
  • EXECUTE: the exact protected rational executor;
  • QUERY: the frozen RRG1 length-free relational owner.

Transactions bind type, packet/source identity, provenance, and exact owner state. Cross-stage parameter storage is forbidden. No owner is trainable.

3. Development admission

The opened SRP1 board is development-only. Admission requires all three:

  • QUERY at least 765/768;
  • EVIDENCE at least 3,070/3,072;
  • at least 255/256 fully sealed episodes.

Only a conjunctive pass may open the still-unopened CCR1 board with SHA-256 299237068f436ba33a68487b5300fcd724f8c98bd8bfe6b1916a4ebc7541ebf7.

4. Fresh confirmation gate

Confirmation retains the RRG1 end-to-end and integrity floors:

  • WORLD 256/256, EVIDENCE at least 3,070/3,072, QUERY at least 765/768, sealing at least 255/256;
  • every query mode at least 254/256 and renderer at least 127/128;
  • sensitive, invariant, extensional-parity, no-evidence abstention, and partial underdetermination floors at least 254/256;
  • at least four more exact queries than frozen SRP1 and no evidence regression;
  • QUERY role-slot swap loses at least 90 queries, marker deletion loses at least 49, and arbitrary entity renaming changes zero logits/assignments;
  • shuffled evidence, state reset, and operation shift each lose at least 50 points;
  • packet/query swaps reject, post-seal poison is invariant, no invalid receipt is accepted, and all protected owner hashes remain bit-identical.

5. Pass/kill boundary

A miss closes STI1 without owner, threshold, routing, checkpoint, surface, seed, or evaluator variants. A pass qualifies the natural semantic interface needed for exactly one branch-local verified-plasticity integration. It does not authorize continuation pretraining or establish open-domain reasoning.

6. Immutable result

Newton job 744404 ran the exact runtime from commit 8880157 on evc26. Development passed every admission floor with WORLD 256/256, EVIDENCE 3,072/3,072, QUERY 768/768, and 256/256 fully sealed episodes. Its evaluation SHA-256 is d150d38d1cde13156f42bf6cc72f9d98f383c1210dfbf68affd11dbf85642890. That pass legitimately opened the hash-bound confirmation board.

Confirmation closes STI1 as a scientific failure:

MeasureResultFrozen floor
WORLD programs256/256256/256
EVIDENCE receipts3,072/3,072>=3,070
fully sealed episodes256/256>=255
QUERY transactions640/768>=765

invariant answers215/256>=254
extensional parity256/256>=254
no-evidence abstention246/256>=254
partial underdetermination214/256>=254

The failure is discrete and renderer-local. QUERY renderers 1--5 are each 128/128; renderer 0 is 0/128. A forced role-slot swap changes renderer 0 to 128/128 and all other renderers to 0/128. Deleting the purported semantic marker changes zero predictions: normal and marker-deleted QUERY are both 640/768. Entity renaming is assignment- and logit-bit-invariant. This is a rigid unseen-renderer role inversion, not insufficient execution, evidence binding, parameter capacity, or training duration.

Frozen SRP1 scores 522/768 on this board, so STI1 improves its query count by 118 while still missing the absolute transfer and answer gates. Every protected owner hash remains exact and new_training_updates is zero. The confirmation evaluation SHA-256 is 02ba1cadf2200f6bbb6edac039c6a18f776a1396be67e8500072261393973f59. The immutable runtime archive SHA-256 is f85c5f220419d360cac5ae12d2b50e1376cbf17a875a118581aec1bcd0d43b9e.

The primary job exits 1 by design on scientific failure after 01:51:51. Fail-closed continuation 744410 reads the existing failure artifact and also exits 1 without rerunning the evaluator. Conditional NPL1 admission jobs 744406/744412 are canceled without allocation. STI1 is closed.
